Overview
Seven grades that cover almost every engine on the road
Each grade below is a production blend with a published data sheet. Values are typical of current production and must be read against the batch certificate of analysis before contractual use.
4T SAE 20W-40 (API SL, JASO MA2) is a premium four-stroke motorcycle oil for wet-clutch machines, where engine, gearbox and clutch share one sump. The JASO MA2 friction requirement is what prevents clutch slip and gives crisp shifting; the 20W-40 body and 230 °C flash point suit air-cooled engines in hot climates. Typical values: KV 138 cSt at 40 °C, 14.5 cSt at 100 °C, VI 105, pour point −24 °C, TBN 7.5.
4T 5W-30 (API SN) is the low-viscosity two-wheeler oil for modern fuel-injected and BS-VI class engines: rapid circulation at start-up, lower viscous drag and measurable fuel economy, with API SN piston cleanliness. Typical values: KV 64 / 10.8 cSt, VI 158, flash 222 °C, pour −33 °C, TBN 8.0.
KAR 5W-30 semi-synthetic PCMO (API SN/CF, ILSAC GF-5) is blended from synthetic and premium mineral base stocks for petrol cars, SUVs and MPVs with catalytic converters, and for light diesel engines where API CF is acceptable. Typical values: KV 63 / 10.6 cSt, VI 160, flash 225 °C, pour −36 °C, TBN 8.0.
Supreme CNG 20W-50 (API SN) is formulated for CNG, LPG, bi-fuel and retrofitted gas engines, which run hotter and drier than petrol. Oxidation and nitration resistance plus controlled ash chemistry protect against valve-seat recession and combustion-chamber deposits, and the 20W-50 film holds oil pressure in high-mileage taxi fleets. Typical values: KV 172 / 18.6 cSt, VI 120, flash 235 °C, pour −21 °C, TBN 7.0.
Multi SAE 20W-40 (API CF-4) is the all-season multigrade diesel oil for light and medium commercial vehicles, pick-ups, tractors, gensets and stationary engines, with an alkalinity reserve sized for higher-sulphur fuels. Typical values: KV 140 / 14.6 cSt, VI 104, flash 228 °C, pour −21 °C, TBN 9.0.
Turbo SAE 15W-40 (API CH-4) and Treco Plus 15W-40 (API CI-4 Plus) are the heavy-duty pair. CH-4 covers turbocharged and naturally aspirated trucks, buses, construction and mining equipment with higher-sulphur fuel tolerance (KV 112 / 14.8 cSt, VI 136, TBN 10.0). CI-4 Plus is the enhanced category for EGR engines at high soot loading — it holds viscosity in grade under soot contamination, protects liners, rings and bearings, and supports extended drains (KV 114 / 15.0 cSt, VI 138, TBN 10.5), with backward compatibility to CH-4, CG-4 and CF-4.

How we work
We source from India's established brands — we do not manufacture
Akarta Exports is a sourcing and export house. We do not own factories and we do not claim to. Our value is that we know which well-known Indian brands and manufacturers make what, to what standard, and at what price — and we buy from them to the exact specification you give us.
01 — Your specification, written down
We start from your specification, not from a catalogue. Grade, dimension, tolerance, finish, test standard, pack, artwork and labelling are put in writing and confirmed with you before a single enquiry goes out.
02 — Matched to the right Indian brand
We place that specification with established, well-known Indian brands and manufacturers in the cluster that genuinely makes the product — Morbi for tiles, Rajkot and Ludhiana for machinery, Meerut and Jalandhar for sports goods, Kerala and Gujarat for spices.
03 — Offers compared on merit
Because we own no plant and owe no factory a minimum offtake, we compare offers openly on quality, consistency, capacity and price — and tell you where a lower price will not hold up in your market.
04 — Inspected, consolidated, shipped
Our own inspectors clear the goods at the brand's plant and again before loading. Multiple brands and multiple divisions consolidate into one container, one invoice and one document set.
Brand names are disclosed to you on the offer and named on the inspection report, so you always know whose production you are buying. Where a buyer already has a preferred Indian brand, we are happy to source that brand and handle only the inspection, consolidation, documentation and shipping.

Quality assurance
Nothing leaves India until our own inspectors clear it
Akarta runs an in-house quality department with inspectors assigned to each division. Goods are checked at the factory during production and again before loading, against the written specification agreed on your purchase order — not against the factory's own grading.
- Pre-production sample approved by the buyer before bulk manufacture begins
- In-line checks during production for shade, calibration, dimension and moisture
- Pre-shipment inspection with photographic report before container sealing
- Third-party inspection (SGS, Bureau Veritas, Intertek) arranged where required

Buyer questions
What importers usually ask us first
Why does a motorcycle need JASO MA2 rather than a car oil?
In a motorcycle the engine, gearbox and wet clutch share one sump, so friction modifiers designed for car fuel economy can make the clutch slip. JASO MA2 sets a friction window that keeps clutch engagement positive and shifting crisp while still protecting gear teeth at high rpm. Our 4T 20W-40 is blended to API SL with JASO MA2 friction performance for exactly that duty.
What is the difference between CH-4 and CI-4 Plus?
CI-4 Plus is the enhanced category developed for EGR engines that recirculate exhaust and load the oil with soot. Its measurable advantage is viscosity control under high soot along with tighter limits on wear and deposits. If your fleet is turbocharged but pre-EGR, CH-4 at TBN 10.0 is adequate and better priced; if it is EGR-equipped or on extended drains, specify CI-4 Plus.
Do we need a dedicated CNG oil?
Yes, if the fleet runs commercial hours on gas. Gas combustion is hotter and drier, so oil nitration and valve-seat recession become the failure modes rather than soot. The CNG 20W-50 grade uses a controlled-ash chemistry and stronger oxidation/nitration resistance than a petrol oil of the same viscosity.
Are these values guaranteed on every drum?
They are typical of current production, not a specification — minor variation is normal in blending. Each consignment travels with a batch certificate of analysis from the blender's laboratory, and those batch values are what govern contractually. Independent third-party testing can be arranged before loading where a tender requires it.
Can we get these grades under our own brand?
Yes. All seven grades are available in private label with your bottle, artwork, induction seal, hologram and batch coding. The blender is disclosed on the offer and on the certificate of analysis, so you always know which plant produced your stock.
